If you're bunking at The Swan Reserve — the newest addition to the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin complex — the on-site coffee shop Grounds is a perfectly reasonable way to start your morning. It operates like a traditional coffee-shop counter, offering espresso drinks, specialty teas, smoothies, and a grab-and-go selection of breakfast sandwiches, waffles, and egg bites. Seating options include a small indoor area, an outdoor patio by the pool, and spots scattered throughout the lobby.
The clear standout on the menu is the coffee. An Iced Caramel Latte, priced at $8, delivered a well-balanced cup — prominent coffee flavor without bitterness, just enough caramel sweetness, and a solid milk-to-espresso ratio. If caffeine is your main mission, Grounds delivers.
The food tells a more mixed story. The Popeye wrap ($8.75) — egg white, spinach, low-fat feta, and olive oil harissa spread on a whole wheat wrap — leans heavily on spinach, almost to a fault. The harissa heat the dish promised never really showed up, leaving the wrap pleasant but one-note for anyone hoping for a little spice. The Mickey Waffles ($7.50) come dusted with cinnamon powdered sugar and maple syrup, but the cinnamon flavor barely registers, making them a convenient rather than memorable choice.
The bottom line: Grounds is a solid, no-fuss breakfast stop if you're already a Swan Reserve guest and need to fuel up quickly before heading into the parks. It's not a destination worth crossing Disney property for, and if a leisurely sit-down breakfast is what you're after, plenty of better options exist nearby.
