If you've ever juggled a festival plate at EPCOT with nowhere to set it down, Disney may have heard your frustration. Ahead of the 2026 Food & Wine Festival, a new style of standing table has appeared along the walkway between The Odyssey and Disney Traders — at least six of them, spotted in addition to earlier installations near the Germany Pavilion.

These aren't the typical round standing tables you'll find elsewhere in the park. They're narrow wood-counter surfaces mounted directly to the walkway railings, keeping the footprint small while still giving guests a flat spot to rest food and drinks. A raised back edge along each table helps prevent items from tumbling into the landscaping below, and decals on the tables make clear they're for leaning on, not sitting.

Eating space is notoriously tight during EPCOT festivals, and Disney has been making other adjustments to the situation as well — including swapping out flat-top trash cans for new solar-powered models with rounded lids. Guests had long used those flat tops as impromptu tables, a workaround that becomes much trickier with the curved design.

The railing tables represent a relatively low-profile but practical upgrade for one of Walt Disney World's busiest annual events. Whether they'll spread to other areas of the park remains to be seen. This sighting was first reported by WDW News Today.
