EPCOT's Mexico Pavilion has a built-in edge over the rest of World Showcase: most of it is indoors. Rain or shine, it's one of the most comfortable spots in the park.
For a sit-down meal, San Angel Inn Restaurante is the headliner, an opening-day EPCOT restaurant serving tortilla soup, enchiladas, and tacos right alongside the Gran Fiesta Tour waterway — earning comparisons to Disneyland's beloved Blue Bayou. Just around the corner, La Cava del Tequila pours over 200 tequilas alongside cocktails, Mexican beer, and light bites like guacamole and queso. One insider tip: consider saving that La Cava drink for after the boat ride, since the cocktails are strong and the boats do rock.
If La Cava's famously tight space and long lines aren't appealing, the outdoor Choza de Margarita window offers hand-blended and frozen margaritas that are described as fruity, refreshing, and very boozy — often with a shorter wait. Also outside, La Hacienda de San Ángel sits right on the World Showcase lagoon and serves dishes like Enchiladas de Chorizo alongside premium margaritas, with views of the water.
The pavilion's most talked-about hidden gem is the Churro Sundae at La Cantina de San Angel, priced at $7.99. The dessert features caramel and vanilla swirl soft serve topped with caramel sauce, mini churros, and red, white, and green sprinkles. As a bonus, early-day visitors can often enjoy it in La Hacienda's lagoon-side seating area before that restaurant closes off its tables to prepare for dinner service.
