EPCOT Fireworks Testing May Keep Crescent Lake Guests Up Past 1 A.M.

If you're booked at one of the Deluxe Resorts ringing Crescent Lake in the coming days, it may be worth adjusting your bedtime expectations. Disney posted a notice at Disney's Yacht Club Resort alerting guests that routine fireworks testing near EPCOT is scheduled to run from 10 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, through 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 2 — a three-and-a-half-hour window that extends well beyond the park's normal nighttime entertainment.

The testing is described as sporadic rather than continuous, meaning guests won't necessarily hear a constant barrage — but occasional bursts could still carry through the night. That's a notably different situation from the usual rhythm around EPCOT, where the Luminous: The Symphony of Us spectacular typically wraps up at 9 p.m., leaving the area relatively quiet for the rest of the evening.

The notice was specifically posted at Yacht Club, but the resort's immediate neighbors — Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's BoardWalk Inn — sit close enough to EPCOT that guests there may experience similar noise. The nearby Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, while not Disney-owned properties, are also in the general vicinity. Disney's warning doesn't explicitly call out those additional resorts, and how audible the testing becomes will depend on factors like weather, room placement, and the nature of the test itself.

Proximity to EPCOT is normally one of the biggest perks of staying on Crescent Lake — walkable park access and an easy stroll home after World Showcase evenings are hard to beat. On the night of September 1, that same closeness means the operations side of the park will be more noticeable than usual. Families with early mornings planned for September 2 may want to pack earplugs or mentally prepare for an interrupted night.
