September is quietly one of the smartest months to visit Walt Disney World, and 2026 is no exception. Halloween energy is already in the air β think pumpkin-spiced treats and fresh dΓ©cor across the parks β while several overlapping discounts and access perks can meaningfully lower both wait times and the overall cost of a trip.
Every guest staying at a Disney World resort hotel gets 30 minutes of Early Theme Park Entry each day, including check-in and check-out days. Guests at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts can go further with Extended Evening Hours β two extra hours after regular closing across all four parks on specific September dates, with EPCOT getting six separate nights of late access. Separately ticketed After Hours Events at Hollywood Studios (September 2 and 12) and EPCOT (September 16 and 24) offer a similar low-crowd experience and include select snacks and drinks. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the beloved separately ticketed Magic Kingdom event with trick-or-treating, a signature parade, and exclusive character meet-and-greets, runs on 13 dates throughout the month.
On the savings side, Disney's current room discount lets guests save up to 30% on stays of five or more nights (up to 25% for shorter stays) through October 4, 2026. Florida residents can save up to 35% on rooms of four nights or more through October 3, 2026 β the deepest discount on the list. Annual Passholders have their own room offer running through October 3, and U.S. military members can save up to 30% on rooms through December 18, 2026. Finally, the family-focused Cool Kids' Summer celebration wraps September 8, so guests arriving before then can still catch character experiences at Animal Kingdom's Conservation Station, themed entertainment at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, and a complimentary water park admission on check-in day for resort hotel guests.
Eligibility and availability on all offers can shift, so it's worth confirming current terms before booking. If you're thinking about planning a Disney World trip this fall, September's lineup makes a compelling case for moving sooner rather than later.
