Walt Disney World guests with reservations this fall should take a close look at their resort's refurbishment calendar before arrival. Four properties — Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village — all have active construction or maintenance work scheduled, each with a different impact on the guest experience.
Kidani Village carries the most significant disruptions. Starting August 17, the main lobby and primary entrance will close through October 9, with check-in relocated to the Palace Library. Two additional phases bring further limitations: from September 28 through October 9, north-side elevators and the outdoor terrace observation deck go offline, and from October 26 through November 6, Community Hall, the arcade, the laundry room, lobby restrooms, and the terrace deck will all be unavailable. Pools and main dining locations are not listed as closing, but the cumulative effect reaches well into everyday resort use.
Yacht and Beach Club guests face a narrower but still noticeable inconvenience: the FriendShip Boat dock closes for maintenance from August 17 through August 21. Direct bus service to Hollywood Studios will be available, and guests can reach EPCOT on foot via the International Gateway walkway or use the Disney Skyliner nearby. The boat won't be missed for long, but families with young children or tight dining reservations should build in extra travel time those five days.
At Saratoga Springs, refurbishment work now extends to portions of the porte-cochère — the covered arrival area — continuing through fall 2026. No additional amenity closures have been announced for that section specifically, though the resort already has ongoing work affecting the Treehouse Villas, The Turf Club Lounge and Bar & Grill, and the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Fort Wilderness, meanwhile, has soil-erosion prevention work along Big Pine Trail through mid-October that could create occasional detours but no announced amenity closures.
