Guests staying at Disney's Old Key West Resort should know the resort's boat dock is temporarily closed until early August. The Sassagoula River Cruise normally connects Old Key West to Disney Springs, Saratoga Springs Resort, and both Port Orleans properties, so anyone counting on that route for a Springs visit will need to hop a bus instead. The Port Orleans connections remain available, weather permitting.
Over at EPCOT, Connections Eatery has swapped its ceramic plates for paper ones — a small shift that nonetheless changes the feel of a meal at a spot that previously carried a slightly elevated quick-service vibe. Pizza now arrives in a paper boat rather than on a proper plate. Whether the change is temporary or permanent isn't clear, though Disney Food Blog notes it has been in place for a while.
The bigger hit for budget-conscious breakfast lovers involves Ale & Compass at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. The restaurant's popular Continental Enhancement — a $28 package that bundled a breakfast entrée, a drink, and access to a full breakfast buffet — has been removed from the menu. In its place are two separate $10 add-ons: a Danish Breakfast with cinnamon rolls, fruit danish, and assorted mini muffins, and a Continental Parfait and Fruit with açaí, berries, banana, granola, coconut, and honey. Neither option replicates the full-buffet access the old deal provided.
All three changes are relatively recent and could still be in flux, so guests with upcoming reservations at any of these spots may want to have a backup plan or set adjusted expectations before they arrive.
