The incidents continued through the rest of the month. On July 20, passengers had to exit a Walt Disney World bus after smoke was spotted coming from the vehicle. July 24 saw back-to-back fire alarm evacuations at Disney's Yacht Club Resort and the neighboring Beach Club Resort — separate incidents at two of the property's deluxe hotels. Three days later, the Walt Disney World Monorail was evacuated after a service animal suffered a medical emergency onboard; later reports indicated the animal did not survive. On July 29, a fire alarm cleared diners from Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs.
The eighth and most recent evacuation took place at Disney's Contemporary Resort, where guests reported being awakened around 2 a.m. by an announcement warning of a fire emergency in the building. Guests shared video of the scene on social media, showing crowds gathered outside before Cast Members eventually cleared them to return to their rooms. Disney has not publicly identified the cause of that alarm.
