Families planning a Walt Disney World vacation for 2027 are looking at a wide — and often eye-opening — range of costs, depending on where they stay, when they visit, and how they spend inside the parks. A closer look at the individual expenses shows why a family of four can easily approach five figures by the time the trip is over.
Accommodations alone tell quite a story. Value Resort options like Pop Century start around $219 per night but can climb to nearly $400 during peak periods. Moderate resorts such as Caribbean Beach run roughly $330 to $466 per night, while Deluxe options like Beach Club can reach $1,099 per night before tax. Over a four-night stay, that gap between the most affordable and most luxurious choices could mean a difference of more than $3,000 for lodging alone.
Theme park tickets add another substantial line item. Four-day tickets for a family of two adults and two children (ages 3–9) range from approximately $2,052 to $3,052 depending on travel dates, and that's before adding Park Hopper privileges, which run roughly $79 to $111 extra for multi-day tickets. Choosing off-peak travel dates is one of the most effective ways to reduce the overall bill.
Food, souvenirs, and transportation round out the budget picture. Quick-service lunches for a family of four can run $70 to $80, character dining can reach $40 to $60 per person, and even a modest round of souvenir shopping — one shirt and one small item per person — can easily cost $200 to $300. Families flying in from out of state should also factor in round-trip airfare, estimated at roughly $217 to $314 per person on average.
