Disney has set a firm end date for two beloved amenities at Disneyland Paris's Disney Sequoia Lodge. The Redwood Bar and the Northwest Passage shop will both close on February 19, 2027, as part of the hotel's ongoing refurbishment. Disney has noted that select additional hotel services will also become unavailable from that date, though character meet-and-greet experiences are expected to continue as planned.
The closures are described as temporary, though Disney has not announced how long they will last or whether the bar and shop will reopen simultaneously. The 1,010-room wilderness-lodge property has carried a reputation for dated interiors and low guest ratings, but the current overhaul aims to address those concerns while preserving the warm, wood-heavy atmosphere the hotel has had since opening in 1992.
Renovation work began in January 2026 with rooms across Sequoia Lodge's five outer buildings. The redesigned rooms — drawing inspiration from films including Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brave — are expected to be ready for guests in early 2027, with bookings for the updated accommodations opening in mid-September 2026. Images shared this week show brighter, more contemporary spaces; notably, the bathtubs that have long been a fixture of Disneyland Paris hotel rooms have been removed in favor of updated bathrooms.
Beyond the rooms, Disney plans to eventually redesign the lobby, restaurants, recreation areas, and shops throughout the property. The broader refurbishment effort at Disneyland Paris also includes an upcoming transformation of the Pathé Cinema in Disney Village, with exterior work set to begin this summer.
