Getting around Walt Disney World from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort just got a little smoother. A brand-new, dedicated bus stop officially opened at the resort on July 13, marking the completion of a transportation overhaul that had been in the works for some time.
The biggest change for guests: buses no longer pull up to the resort's main Port Cochere, the covered entrance area that serves as the first impression for arriving visitors. Instead, transit now flows through a purpose-built facility designed specifically for bus operations.
The new setup features three distinct pick-up points, giving the system more capacity and flexibility to move guests efficiently to parks and other destinations across Walt Disney World property.
For regulars who stay at or visit the Polynesian, the shift should mean less congestion around the front of the resort and a cleaner separation between bus traffic and guests arriving by other means.
