Disney has officially set July 1, 2027 as the opening date for Disney Lakeshore Lodge, the newest Disney Vacation Club resort at Walt Disney World. Situated along the shore of Bay Lake, the property will put guests within a short boat ride of Magic Kingdom and within reach of all the transportation perks that come with staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
The resort will feature 967 rooms across a range of room types, each drawing on classic Walt Disney Animation Studios films for their design language. Duo studios, inspired by Encanto, are tailored for couples and solo travelers and include a queen pull-down bed that tucks into the wall during the day. Deluxe studios and one- and two-bedroom villas lean into the woodland warmth of Bambi, with original concept art from the archives, natural materials, and private balconies or patios. Three-bedroom grand villas channel the artistic elegance of Fantasia and can sleep up to 12 guests, making them a strong fit for multigenerational families. Resort-level rooms above the villas take their cues from Pocahontas, featuring carved wood paneling and scenic murals nodding to Grandmother Willow.
The standout new accommodation type is the Lake House — freestanding A-frame retreats perched right along Bay Lake. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame lake views throughout, and each unit includes a private porch, full kitchen, washer and dryer, and room for five to eight guests. Inside, the décor celebrates Brother Bear, with artwork reflecting the film's Alaskan setting and a Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature in the primary bedroom. Select rooms across the resort will also unlock access to The Artist's Nest, a treetop concierge lounge offering personalized service and complimentary refreshments. At the top of the lineup sits the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite, a two-bedroom retreat with Bay Lake views by day and a front-row look at Magic Kingdom fireworks by night.
Beyond the rooms, the resort's outdoor recreation area — called The Wetlands — will include a lazy river, a zero-entry pool with a spiral water slide, and a wet-and-dry play area inspired by Pocahontas. Three dining spots are planned: Moonglade, a waterfront table-service restaurant; Bay Lake Provisions, an all-day marketplace; and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill for poolside bites surrounded by Imagineer-created artwork.
