Disney Vacation Club members who've been watching the progress on Walt Disney World's newest resort now have a compelling reason to mark their calendars. Disney has announced a "First Wave" Member Experience that gives eligible DVC members a chance to stay at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge from June 24 through June 27, 2027 — ahead of the resort's broader public opening later that summer.
Booking for the exclusive three-night stay opens November 7, 2026, at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. Members will need to contact Member Services directly to secure a reservation, and availability is expected to be tight given the limited nature of the benefit. The package includes the three-night stay, Walt Disney World theme park tickets, resort and off-property dining opportunities, member-exclusive experiences, and commemorative keepsakes from the early visit.
Disney's Lakeshore Lodge is being developed as a nature-inspired lakefront retreat blending a wilderness-getaway atmosphere with Disney's signature resort touches. Planned amenities include a lazy river, expansive pool, aquatic play areas, and scenic walking trails. Waterfront dining and views of Walt Disney World fireworks round out the experience, and guests will be able to reach Magic Kingdom Park via water taxi — a scenic alternative to the standard bus or monorail routes.
Not every DVC member will qualify automatically. The First Wave experience is classified as a Membership Extras benefit, which means it requires an ownership interest of at least 150 Vacation Points purchased directly from Disney. Members who meet that threshold should be ready to call Member Services when the booking window opens on November 7, 2026.
