Guests heading to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will find some welcome upgrades waiting for them. The beloved Meadow Swimmin' Pool has grown significantly, with the addition of a zero-entry pool and expanded deck space that together roughly double the total area available for swimming and lounging.
The zero-entry design makes the water accessible for guests of all ages and abilities, gently sloping from the deck into the pool rather than dropping off at a traditional edge — a feature that tends to be especially popular with young children and families.
Beyond the pool, visitors will also notice a freshened-up Reception Outpost, the resort's check-in hub, which has received its own refresh as part of the project.
Fort Wilderness has long been one of Walt Disney World's most distinctive lodging options, offering campsites and cabin rentals tucked into a wooded setting along Bay Lake — a quieter, nature-forward alternative to the resort's more conventional hotels.
