A Halloween coffee-drink flyer in Disney Cruise Line’s Cove Cafe is drawing criticism after Disney creator Dapper Danielle said its imagery appeared to be generated by artificial intelligence.

Danielle highlighted the flyer while sailing on the Disney Wish. The promotion advertised seasonal Halloween on the High Seas drinks at the adults-only cafe, including The Pumpkin King chai latte.

In her video, Danielle compared the illustrated cups on the flyer with the physical cups used for the drinks. She said the flyer did not accurately reflect the stylized jack-o'-lantern and Mickey pumpkin cup artwork created by Disney artist Caley Hicks. She also compared the flyer’s depiction of the chai latte with the drink she received, arguing that the promotional image was an idealized version that did not closely match the item served.

Danielle criticized Disney Cruise Line’s use of the artwork, saying it fell short of the storytelling and detailed artwork guests associate with Disney.

WDWNT also reported that one of its reporters saw the same Halloween coffee flyer in the Cove Cafe aboard the Disney Fantasy. That account suggests the design was used on more than one ship, rather than being limited to the Disney Wish.
