Construction is advancing across Tropical Americas, the new land replacing DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, according to aerial images shared by Bioreconstruct and reported by WDWNT.

At the former DINOSAUR attraction, a colorful Maya pyramid now stands in front of the building being transformed into Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. Scaffolding surrounds the base as crews work on excavation-style rockwork. The upper pyramid sections had been installed and painted before placement, but gaps between tiers and unfinished portions on the back still need waterproofing. Shrubs and small trees are also being planted behind the structure for its jungle setting.

Elsewhere, the steel framework for Casita is rising in front of the future Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto show building. Dark waterproofing is being added to nearby concrete walls. WDWNT reported that the wall height indicates the eventual soil level, which will place the Madrigal family home in a hillside setting.

In Pueblo Esperanza, construction continues around El Carrusel de los Animalitos. The carousel roof is in place beside partially enclosed village buildings, while crews create weathered, broken-wall theming along future walkways. The former Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures gift shop is also being reworked, with roofing materials, protective wrap and scaffolding visible on the building.

A large clearing between the former Restaurantosaurus complex and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures is expected to become a play area, based on a Disney filing cited by WDWNT. Disney has not yet released concept art or models for that space. At the former Restaurantosaurus, some exterior walls have been painted mustard yellow for the future quick-service restaurant, and concrete forms are emerging around the land’s planned central fountain.
