Guests with conventions or meetings on the books at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort should plan ahead: the resort's Convention Center is set to undergo a significant refurbishment beginning August 10, 2026, and running through late September 2027.
The El Centro Corridor and surrounding areas are included in the project scope. Work will roll out in phases, meaning individual spaces will be temporarily off-limits at different points during the roughly 14-month window. Disney says crews will work overnight to reduce disruption to daytime operations, though guests staying nearby may notice construction noise or activity.
The Convention Center closure won't affect the rest of the resort's well-loved amenities. Coronado Springs remains home to a large pool featuring a waterslide and a 50-foot Mayan pyramid replica, as well as what Disney bills as the largest outdoor hot tub on property. Dining options including Dahlia Lounge, Rix Sports Bar and Grill, and the rooftop tapas restaurant Toledo are expected to continue operating during the renovation period.
