Several Central Florida events have been canceled, postponed or shifted to new dates as forecasters expect scattered showers and thunderstorms through the weekend, with added tropical moisture associated with Hurricane Isaias.
The Orlando Fire & Flavor Festival, originally planned for Oct. 10 and 11, has been rescheduled for Jan. 9, 2027. Avalon Park Oktoberfest, initially set for Oct. 10, is now planned for Nov. 6-7, 2026.
Apopka Pride 2026 organizers said they plan to reschedule the Oct. 10 event, while Downtown Orlando Field Day, scheduled for Oct. 8, has been postponed with a new date still to be announced. The City of Oviedo has moved its National Night Out from Oct. 6 to Oct. 20.
FOX 35 reported that Hurricane Isaias was not forecast to head toward Central Florida, but its far outer bands were expected to contribute to wetter and windier conditions. Its Storm Team forecast scattered afternoon and evening storms Friday through Sunday, with Saturday expected to be the stormiest day.
Rain chances were forecast at 60% to 80% Friday, 80% Saturday and 50% to 70% Sunday. Forecasters projected around 2 inches of rain and said some storms could produce wind gusts up to 45 mph.
