Harry Potter fans have a reason to head to Universal Orlando Resort starting August 1, when Back to Hogwarts returns for its annual run across all three Wizarding World locations — Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure, Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, and the Ministry of Magic at the newly opened Universal Epic Universe.
This year carries extra significance: 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and the celebration honors that milestone with a limited-edition 25th anniversary Butterbeer Mug, available while supplies last at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure (but not Epic Universe). Fans can also customize a Lug Bag in their Hogwarts house colors — Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin — choosing styles, straps, charms, and accessories.
Wand enthusiasts will find exclusive new wands for purchase at each Wizarding World location. These elevated versions promise unique spell-casting effects, illumination, and haptic vibrations tailored to each individual spell — a step up from the standard interactive wands already sold in the parks.
On the food side, Hogwarts House Ice Lollies will be available at Epic Universe and at Eternelle's Elixir of Refreshment in Diagon Alley, with four flavors tied to each house: Pineapple and Milk Chocolate for Hufflepuff, Peach and Strawberry for Gryffindor, Coconut and Matcha for Slytherin, and Huckleberry and Grape for Ravenclaw. Guests can also look for a meet-and-greet opportunity with the Hogwarts Express train conductor during the celebration period.
Evenings get a magical upgrade with a nightly lights-and-music spectacular projected onto Hogwarts Castle in Hogsmeade, running from dusk until park close, weather permitting. This story was first reported by the Disney Food Blog.
