The permit is tied to Ferran Services & Contracting, Inc., a company that specializes in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing work.
Notably, this permit was filed by Disney's Facility Asset Management team rather than Walt Disney Imagineering, which typically handles the creative and thematic side of construction. That distinction suggests the current scope of work leans more toward mechanical and systems upkeep than storytelling elements.
The new permit appears to be a direct extension of one originally filed in early 2025 that expired in May 2026. Ferran may be updating the building's internal systems while separate contractors tackle the ride itself and its exterior facade.
Other recent permits at the same address point to broader progress: Imagineering has contracted Mecca Productions to install set elements and Balfour Beatty for building infrastructure and system enhancements. Three additional set installation permits were filed by Imagineering earlier this spring.
