Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has added a seasonal exhibit and three classic holiday shorts for the winter season.

The new Disney Takes a Holiday exhibit is located at the end of the gallery outside The Walt Disney Theater. Its displays focus on how the holidays are celebrated across Walt Disney World’s parks and resorts, rather than on classic Disney holiday films, which were the focus of last year’s displays.

Among the exhibit’s themes are Santa Claus visits, holiday mailboxes at Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs, park-specific decorations and the work of Disney’s Holiday Services team. According to exhibit signage, that team oversees more than 50,000 decorations and prepares more than 800 uniquely themed Christmas trees for the seasonal transformation.

Guests can also see sketches and materials tied to holiday décor, including a popcorn mold and oversized faux popcorn used on the Magic Kingdom Christmas tree. Another display explains the “snoap” effect used during Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade on Main Street, U.S.A.; compressed-air cannons turn the material into bubbles that fall like snow and dissolve after landing.
