Guests planning a stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn in early 2027 should plan around a temporary closure of the resort’s Luna Park Pool area.
Disney has scheduled routine maintenance beginning Jan. 11, 2027, affecting Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area and Leaping Horse Libations Pool Bar. Disney expects the amenities to reopen sometime in April 2027.
The BoardWalk Villas Leisure Pool and BoardWalk Inn Leisure Pool are expected to remain open during the work, giving registered guests swimming alternatives while the main carnival-themed pool area is unavailable.
The closure does not change Disney’s general policy that resort pools are typically reserved for guests registered at that specific hotel. Staying at another Disney resort does not generally provide access to BoardWalk Inn’s pools, and gated pool areas may require a MagicBand, room key or phone linked to a Disney resort reservation for entry.

Disney does make limited pool-sharing exceptions among certain connected resorts. Guests at Port Orleans – French Quarter and Port Orleans – Riverside may use pools at both properties; guests at the three All-Star Resorts may generally use pools across that group; and Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts share Stormalong Bay.
Visitors considering BoardWalk Inn for the first months of 2027 may want to weigh the temporary loss of Luna Park Pool against the leisure-pool options that will remain available. Disney also advises guests to check their individual resort’s pool hours, which can vary by location and season.
