Two Walt Disney World resort refurbishment projects will continue longer than Disney previously indicated, affecting guests at Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.
Exterior maintenance at Old Key West’s Hospitality House is now expected to continue through fall 2026, according to Disney’s updated notice. The work had previously been listed through mid-September 2026. Hospitality House is the resort’s central hub and includes the lobby, concierge services and Olivia’s Cafe. Disney says guests may see or hear daytime work and could be directed to alternate walkways.
At Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, a broader refurbishment that had been scheduled to run through late 2026 has been extended into 2027. Disney says guests visiting during 2027 may see and hear construction. Work has already been completed in the resort lobby.
The BoardWalk Inn project is separate from scheduled maintenance at Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area and Leaping Horse Libations. Those facilities are set to close from January 11, 2027, through April 2027.

Guests staying at BoardWalk-area resorts should also note that the Disney Skyliner is scheduled to close for refurbishment from January 24 through January 30, 2027. Disney says bus transportation will be available from EPCOT-area hotels to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests can also use boats to reach Hollywood Studios or EPCOT, or walk from Disney’s BoardWalk to those parks.
