Three Southwest Florida destinations landed on Condé Nast Traveler’s newly released list of the 25 Best Beaches in Florida: Naples Beach, Marco Island Beaches and Bowman’s Beach on Sanibel Island.

The travel publication highlighted Naples Beach for its soft Gulf Coast sand, sunset atmosphere and a stretch of shoreline at the Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort. It also pointed to new and renewed lodging options in the area, including the Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort and Olde Naples Hotel, as well as an expansion at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples.

On Marco Island, Condé Nast Traveler noted the barrier island’s wide white-sand beaches, shelling and low-tide sandbars. The list specifically mentioned Tigertail Beach Park’s tidal lagoon and calm water for paddleboarding, along with bird activity including least terns and black skimmers.

Bowman’s Beach, reached from Sanibel-Captiva Road, was recognized for a comparatively undeveloped setting, shelling, gentle waves and pastel sunsets. Condé Nast Traveler also cited windsurfing, sailing and canoeing opportunities connected to waterways west of the beach.

The three Gulf Coast picks joined other Florida locations on the list, including Clearwater Beach, Siesta Beach, Bahia Honda, Fort De Soto Park and New Smyrna Beach.
