King tides and winds brought visible erosion to Bathtub Reef Beach on Hutchinson Island in Martin County on Oct. 28, according to aerial images published by TCPalm.

The astronomical high tides also contributed to flooding along Southeast MacArthur Boulevard on the island. The images documented the conditions at Bathtub Reef Beach, also known as Bathtub Beach, and nearby roadway areas.

King tides are unusually high astronomical tides. TCPalm’s photo report identified both the tides and winds as factors in the beach erosion and flooding seen that day.
