Driving to Walt Disney World in 2026? Theme-park parking is straightforward once you know the daily rates, the guest perks and one important park-hopping detail: you pay once for the day, not once per park.

Disney World theme-park parking prices

At Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, standard parking for a car or motorcycle is $35 per day, including tax. Oversize vehicles—including RVs, buses, limos and vehicles with trailers—are $40 per day.

Preferred parking costs $50, $55 or $60 per day, depending on the date. Disney prices this option seasonally, so the exact charge is set for your visit day. Preferred spaces are closer to the park entrances, but availability is limited and the charge is nonrefundable.

For many visitors, standard parking remains the sensible choice. Courtesy trams operate at all four theme parks, carrying guests between the lots and the entrance area. At Magic Kingdom, remember that every driver parks at the Transportation and Ticket Center; from there, all guests still take the monorail or ferry to reach the park gates. That makes the preferred upgrade less transformative there than its name might suggest.

Who gets standard parking free?

Registered guests of Disney Resort hotels receive complimentary standard parking at the four Disney World theme parks for the length of their hotel stay. Have your resort identification available at the parking plaza. This is a useful perk to factor in when planning Disney World tickets and a hotel stay, especially for a multi-day driving itinerary.

Disney Annual Passholders also receive standard theme-park parking as a Passholder benefit. The Passholder needs to be in the vehicle at entry and should be ready to show a valid Annual Pass in the My Disney Experience app plus government-issued photo ID. Parking is tied to pass validity, availability and applicable blockout dates; it is not a transferable perk for a carload of friends when the Passholder is not present.

Both groups can upgrade to preferred parking by paying only the difference between standard and preferred parking—currently $15 to $25, based on that day’s preferred rate. Disney’s rules and resort eligibility can change, so check current details before you go, particularly if you are staying at a hotel near Disney World that is not a Disney Resort hotel.

How parking works when you park hop

Disney’s parking fee covers all four theme parks on the same calendar day. If you pay at one park and then drive to another, there is no second parking charge. The same is true for guests using their included standard-parking benefit.

Still, the smoothest park-hop plan is often to leave your car at the first park and use Disney transportation for the second leg. With a Park Hopper ticket or Annual Pass, guests may visit another park after entering their first park, subject to capacity limits. Standard date-based tickets do not require park reservations, but some nondated tickets and Annual Pass visits can still have reservation rules. Annual Passholders who need a reservation must reserve and enter their first park before hopping; Good-to-Go Days and the after-2 p.m. Passholder rule have exceptions, including Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays.

If you do move your car, keep your parking confirmation handy. Disney notes that payment does not guarantee space if you return later or arrive at another park, even on the same day. In other words, the second entry should not cost more, but a particularly busy lot can still affect where—or whether—you can park.

When preferred parking earns its upgrade

  • Consider it if you are arriving later, traveling with a stroller-age child, have someone who tires easily, plan a midday break or want to reduce the walk after a long fireworks night.
  • Skip it if you arrive near opening, are comfortable using the tram, are spending most of the day at one park, or are visiting Magic Kingdom mainly because you expect a gate-side parking experience.
  • Think twice on a hop day. Paying for preferred parking makes the most sense when you will use that closer space at the park where you begin and end your day. It is less compelling if you will quickly leave the first park and rely on Disney transportation.

One small practical move: use the complimentary Car Locator feature in the My Disney Experience app after you park. It can save the end-of-night "which character section was I in?" scramble. Check the posted parking price and availability when you arrive, then choose the upgrade for convenience—not because standard parking will spoil the day.
