Guests at six Walt Disney World Resort hotels can use an airport luggage-transfer service that lets them bypass baggage claim after arriving at Orlando International Airport, according to Disney Food Blog.
The eligible hotels are Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort. The service is offered for passengers flying American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines or JetBlue.
For arriving guests, travelers must complete a BagCheck registration form between 30 days and 24 hours before their departure flight, then follow their airline’s checked-bag procedures. After landing at Orlando International Airport, guests can head to their Disney resort rather than collect their bags. Luggage can be picked up from Luggage Assistance and Bell Services or delivered to the room upon request.
Travelers should keep essentials in a carry-on bag: Disney Food Blog says luggage can take up to four hours to reach the hotel from the airport.
Planning Your Trip
Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller of Walt Disney World tickets, often at a discount off gate price.
The service also applies to departing guests. After checking in online and paying any applicable airline baggage fees, guests can bring luggage to their resort’s Luggage Assistance or Bell Services area between 24 hours and four hours before their flight. They can then go to the airport without stopping at the airline check-in counter, with bags collected at their final destination.
The eligible hotels include Disney Value resorts and two Disney Moderate resorts. Guests comparing hotel locations, transportation and available services can factor the luggage option into their Disney World vacation planning.
