Boatsetter, a platform connecting users with boat owners, charters and captains, is positioning itself as a flexible option for getting out on Miami’s waterways without owning a vessel. The company merged with Getmyboat in 2025, according to Time Out.

Users can book through Boatsetter’s platform and filter available trips by price, duration, passenger count and whether a captain is needed. Individual boat listings include trip details and allow instant booking after payment information is added.

Boatsetter says its average cost is about $120 per person per trip, though rates vary. The company also says bookings can be completed in 25 minutes or less.

In a Time Out-hosted experience, a group boarded a 37-foot luxury powerboat at Beach Boat Rental in Miami Beach for a four-hour cruise. The outing traveled past sights including Miami Beach, Bayfront Park and Brickell Key, with a stop near Stiltsville, the historic over-water homes protected within Biscayne National Park.

Amenities and food options can vary by vessel and crew. Time Out reported that requests for extras can be made during booking, with arrangements handled by the boat team when available. The publication disclosed that its writer was invited by Boatsetter to use the service.
