If you've ridden TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom lately, you may have noticed something a little off about the screens lining the queue — and it's not a deliberate design choice. Most of the displays have developed visible burn-in, leaving permanent ghost images of lightcycles etched into the panels.
Screen burn-in happens when a static image is shown on a display for extended periods, causing uneven wear on the pixels. Given that the TRON queue runs the same looping content day after day, it's not entirely surprising that the high-traffic attraction is already showing this kind of wear.
There's no word yet from Disney on whether or when the affected screens will be replaced. For now, guests moving through the queue will spot the shadowy lightcycle outlines hovering behind the intended visuals — a subtle but noticeable distraction from the otherwise immersive pre-show experience.
