Disney World has made a significant change to how guests access one of its marquee attractions, doing away with the virtual queue system that has long governed entry to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios.
Virtual queues were introduced across Disney's parks as a way to manage large crowds and cut down on long physical waits. Over the years, the system was deployed for some of the most in-demand experiences in the resort, and Rise of the Resistance became one of its most well-known applications when the ride opened.
With the change now in effect, guests no longer need to secure a return time through the virtual queue before experiencing the attraction, representing a meaningful shift in how visitors plan their day at Hollywood Studios.
The move is part of a broader evolution in how Disney manages guest flow across its parks, as the company continues to refine the tools it uses to balance crowd distribution and overall visitor experience.
