Sky-watchers in Palm Beach County may want to keep their eyes on the horizon. SpaceX's Starship — the largest rocket ever built — is targeting a launch from its Texas facility in July 2026, and if history is any guide, the spectacle won't be limited to the Lone Star State.
The massive rocket has previously been visible from parts of Palm Beach County during past launch attempts, giving Florida residents a front-row seat to one of the most ambitious spacecraft programs in the world — no trip to the Space Coast required.
Starship's sheer size and brightness make it a surprisingly easy naked-eye sight from hundreds of miles away under the right conditions, which is why South Florida residents have been able to catch glimpses of it streaking across the sky from Texas.
