SpaceX is pressing ahead with preparations to launch its massive Starship rocket from Florida's Space Coast, with crews actively working at two separate Cape Canaveral-area sites simultaneously.
Recent photos from mid-to-late July 2026 show construction ongoing at Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center, where SpaceX is also developing a Gigabay maintenance facility designed to service the towering vehicle.
A second launch tower is taking shape at LC-37 on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, with work photographed there as recently as July 21, 2026.
The Florida buildout runs parallel to SpaceX's existing Starship operations in Texas, where the rocket has already conducted multiple test flights. Establishing a second launch site would give the company greater flexibility for future missions.
