SpaceX targeted Tuesday, August 11, at 10:53 a.m. ET for the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 29 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The first stage booster supporting this mission has an impressive résumé — this marks its 18th flight. Past missions on this booster include Crew-9, RRT-1, Firefly Blue Ghost Mission 1, Fram2, SXM-10, MTG-S1, EchoStar XXV, SXM-11, and nine previous Starlink runs.
After delivering the satellites, the booster is scheduled to return to Earth and land on SpaceX's droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas, positioned in the Atlantic Ocean — a routine but still impressive piece of the reusable-rocket equation that the Space Coast has come to know well.
