Still Taking Reservations (Yes, Really)

The Hollywood Studios location has not followed suit — Advance Dining Reservations are still very much alive here, and that's actually good news for planners. The Booking Window

The 60-day mark is when you want to be ready — fingers on keyboard, app loaded, account logged in. The Walk-Up List: Your Backup Plan
No reservation? You still have options. A walk-up waitlist is available both in person and through the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit. The best window to try it is during the final hour or so before the park closes — that's when last-minute spots are most likely to open up, and the cantina itself typically stays open about an hour after Hollywood Studios closes for the evening, so there's more time to absorb demand than you might expect. Walk-up availability isn't guaranteed, but it genuinely works, especially on slower park days.
The Rules Before You Go In
A few house rules to know before you arrive at the front of that queue. Every person in your party must be physically present at check-in — there's no holding a spot for stragglers. A credit card is required to hold your ADR. If you need to cancel, do it at least two hours before your reservation time to avoid a per-person no-show fee of $10 charged to the card on file. Tips That Actually Help
- Book a late slot. Evening reservations — especially ones that start after the park's official closing time — are easier to score and have a livelier atmosphere. The cantina regularly accepts ADRs right up until around 10:00 PM even on nights the park closes earlier.
- Keep checking the app. The week of your trip, and especially the day before, people cancel. A slot that was unavailable at 60 days out can pop up at 60 hours out.
- Request a seat at check-in. Seating isn't guaranteed, but if standing is a concern, let the Cast Member know when you check in — it doesn't always work, but it's worth asking.
- Bring a park lanyard for your ID and card so you're not fumbling through a bag at check-in.
- Pace yourself on drinks. The two-drink limit per transaction applies per guest, but the 45-minute window goes faster than you think once you're inside. Know what you want to order before you walk in.
- It's not a full-meal stop. As of late 2024, Oga's finally added some light bites to the menu alongside its drink-forward lineup, but this is still very much a bar. Eat elsewhere before or after, and think of it as a 45-minute immersive experience rather than dinner.
Bottom line: Set your alarm for 6:00 AM on your 60-day booking date, grab whatever time slot is available (including late-night ones), and keep rechecking if nothing shows up. With a little patience and flexibility on timing, Oga's Cantina is genuinely within reach — and well worth the effort for Star Wars fans.
