NASA is inviting media and digital creators to Kennedy Space Center in Florida for a news conference on Friday, Aug. 14, at 2:30 p.m. EDT. The gathering will take place inside the XLV Hangar at the historic Shuttle Landing Facility.
The event will preview a larger, public-facing celebration planned at Kennedy later this year, connected to America's 250th anniversary. According to NASA, that forthcoming event will spotlight U.S. leadership in aviation, space exploration, and emerging technologies, and is expected to bring together the public, industry leaders, innovators, and the next generation of explorers.
Among the participants at the Aug. 14 news conference will be NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, other NASA leadership, and members of Congress. For those who can't make it to Florida, NASA will stream the conference live at nasa.gov/live.
Media and digital creators interested in attending in person must submit accreditation requests through the Kennedy newsroom at media.ksc.nasa.gov no later than noon EDT on Thursday, Aug. 6. Only U.S. media and digital creators are eligible to attend.
