Ale & Compass at Disney's Yacht Club Resort has refreshed its breakfast menu with five new dishes: Avocado Toast "Lox," Stuffed French Toast, New England-style Omelet, Breakfast Flatbread, and Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles.
The clear star of the new lineup is the Stuffed French Toast ($17). Made with deep-fried Parker House rolls coated in cinnamon sugar and served with a seasonal compote and your choice of bacon or sausage, the dish earned a perfect seven out of seven from reviewers — high praise that put it in the same conversation as the beloved Tonga Toast at Disney's Polynesian Resort.
The Avocado Toast "Lox" ($19) layers smoked salmon, poached eggs, radish, lemon-beet hummus, and roasted pumpkin seeds on sourdough, landing a six out of seven despite a crust that proved a little tough to cut. The New England-style Omelet ($16), filled with roasted mushroom, herbed cheese, roasted tomatoes, and bacon lardons, earned a four — a score that largely came down to whether or not you're a mushroom fan. The Breakfast Flatbread ($17), topped with sausage gravy, bacon lardons, white cheddar, eggs, and maple syrup, scored a five and was flagged as a solid lighter option or shareable starter.
The Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles ($22) was the most divisive of the group. Served with Mickey-shaped waffles and pickled blueberries, reviewers noted the breading separated from the chicken easily and that the heat level — described as genuine Nashville hot — may catch some guests off guard. It received the lowest score of the bunch at three out of seven.
