Disney World has plenty of standout dining moments, but not every dish earns a return visit. The team at AllEars made it their mission this month to sample new and notable menu items across the parks and resorts — and a handful of them landed on the "skip it" list.
At Bar Riva, two items disappointed. The Seasonal Pizza ($17.49) had a pleasant crust but was overwhelmed by pesto, and the broccolini topping felt out of place flavor-wise. The Coco di Paradiso cocktail ($16.50) fared no better — reviewers found it too alcohol-forward and unbalanced. On the bright side, the Riviera Cookie Skillet ($7.99) at the same spot came away with high praise.
Over at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the Barefoot Pool Bar's Crispy Chicken Sandwich ($13.19) was a letdown — described as chewy like a frozen patty, with coleslaw leaning heavily on garlic. The Spicy Honey Pork Wings ($15) at the same bar, however, were called fresh, tender, and packed with flavor.
Jaleo also made the list, though the source content was cut off before the full details of that experience were shared. The overall takeaway: even at a destination known for elevated dining, it pays to do a little research before committing to a snack or sit-down order.
