Whataburger is bringing another location to the Orlando area, with its East Colonial Drive restaurant set to open on Thursday, August 6. The opening ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m., with the doors swinging open for customers at 11 a.m. at 12305 E. Colonial Drive.
The spot will run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering both dine-in and drive-thru service from day one. Mobile ordering through the Whataburger app and website is expected to come online in the weeks after the grand opening.
Fans willing to be first in line have real incentive: the first two walk-in customers and the first two drive-thru vehicles will each win free Whataburger for a year — limited to first-time winners. The first 80 people in the walk-in line and the first 20 drive-thru vehicles will also score branded merchandise while supplies last, and everyone waiting in line can expect samples of the chain's Summer Peach Whatafresher.
This will be Whataburger's fourth Central Florida opening of 2026, following three Tampa Bay-area restaurants that debuted earlier this spring. The Texas-based chain also has two Fort Myers locations planned for the fall, part of its growing Florida footprint of more than 50 restaurants statewide across its network of over 1,100 locations in 17 states.
