Wayback WED, a two-day gathering centered on Walt Disney World and Disney Parks history, is scheduled for October 2-3, 2026, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The program will bring together former Disney Imagineers, artists, performers and other creatives for presentations and meet-and-greet opportunities.
Among the announced participants are Tony Baxter, Bob Weis, Tom Morris, Joe Lanzisero, Peggie Fariss, Rick Rothschild, Kathy Rogers, Tim Delaney, Mike West, Paul Osterhout, Ron Schneider and Steve Taylor. Sessions are set to cover the early years of Walt Disney World and EPCOT, classic entertainment, DisneySea, unbuilt projects and the original Journey Into Imagination.
Friday’s schedule includes presentations on the original Walt Disney World, the Country Bear Jamboree and Enchanted Tiki Room, women of Walt Disney Imagineering, Frontierland and the unbuilt Western River Expedition, the Hall of Presidents, and nighttime entertainment including the Electrical Water Pageant and Main Street Electrical Parade.
