Walt Disney World's beloved transportation network has inspired a devoted fan following over the decades, and now those fans have something new to add to their collections. A set of collectible medallions celebrating the resort's various ways of getting around has appeared at the Skyliner hub located at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
The current lineup includes four medallions: one for the Disney Skyliner gondola system, one each for the three ferryboats that cross the Seven Seas Lagoon — the Admiral Joe Fowler, the General Joe Potter, and the Richard F. Irvine — and one for the parking lot trams at the four main theme parks. A fourth medallion features Mickey Mouse on its face, along with the classic Walt Disney World welcome phrase, while the reverse side carries a shared design that's consistent across all four medallions.
Pricing follows the standard medallion machine format: individual medallions are $6.00 each, or you can grab the full set of four for $20.00. Worth noting for card-only shoppers — credit card purchases at these machines are limited to the full four-medallion bundle at $20.00; you'll need cash if you want to buy just one.
Given that the current selection covers only a handful of Walt Disney World's transportation options, it seems likely that additional medallions representing other methods — like the monorail or resort buses — could show up at other locations around the resort in the future. Keep an eye out if you're making the rounds.
