Guests staying at the Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin this August have a fuller calendar than usual waiting for them. The two Epcot-area resorts have rolled out a wave of new experiences for the month, ranging from a live concert series to limited-time food specials and daily outdoor activities — all without setting foot inside a theme park.
The centerpiece of the August lineup is the Swan and Dolphin Summer Concert Series, already underway and running on select evenings throughout the month: August 8, 15, 21, and 29. The outdoor events are open to hotel guests as well as day visitors who purchase a resort pass, and each night features live music alongside themed food trucks and specialty cocktails. The Bites on the Move food truck is rotating its menu week to week, with offerings including bratwurst on a pretzel bun, tequila-lime shrimp or braised beef tacos with pineapple salsa, and smoked wings with a sweet-and-spicy glaze. The cocktail program also rotates, with different beverage partners headlining each event — including premium tequila and whiskey selections in the later weeks.
Beyond the concerts, families can take advantage of several food promotions scattered across the month. Kids receive a complimentary scoop of ice cream at The Fountain when a child's entrée is ordered. National Chocolate Cookie Day on August 4 brings discounted chocolate chip cookies to Java, Fuel, and Grounds, and National Chicken Finger Day on August 25 adds a complimentary soda with qualifying orders.
The daily activity schedule is equally packed. Swan Boats run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the resort water slide is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and outdoor games are available throughout the day. Each evening wraps up with S'mores on the Shore and Cinema on the Beach. For families with younger kids, Camp Dolphin offers supervised children's activities daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Brena's Arts and Activities and the Fun Team Craft Station are available for an additional fee during the afternoon.
The Swan and Dolphin already come with perks that mirror Disney's Deluxe Resort tier — including Early Entry, Extended Evening Hours eligibility, Lightning Lane booking access seven days before arrival, and complimentary Disney transportation — making August's additions a notable bonus for anyone with a stay already on the books.
