Guests with August plans at Walt Disney World may need to rethink their dining reservations. Three restaurants across three different resorts are closed this month, and only one has a firm reopening date on the horizon.
The Grand Floridian Café at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa closed July 20 and won't reopen until October, part of the resort's ongoing multi-year refresh that has already brought a new lobby and the Perch lounge. Brunch service hasn't disappeared entirely — it has temporarily shifted to Cítricos, the resort's signature dinner restaurant, which is now absorbing both crowds at once. Anyone hoping for that classic Grand Floridian morning meal should check Cítricos availability as soon as possible, as tables are already competitive.
Over at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, the Turf Club Bar and Grill has been in phased refurbishment since mid-March. In late August, the dining room moves into a complete closure lasting through late September — the one stretch of the project with no table-service option on site at all. The Turf Club Lounge, which finished its own refresh earlier this summer, will be open for drinks during that window, and Disney Springs is close enough by foot or boat to handle full meals in the meantime. The dining room is expected to return in mid-to-late September.
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort has been dark the longest, having closed May 11. The Signature Dining steakhouse — known for its in-house dry-aged beef program — remains unavailable through most of August, though Disney's reservation system has begun accepting bookings starting August 28, which points toward a reopening around that date. The neighboring Crew's Cup Lounge wrapped its own refurbishment in May and has been open all summer. Disney has not announced what, if anything, will be different when Yachtsman returns.
