Once the train returns, it will continue running in its current shuttle configuration rather than the full loop. That means service runs only between the Main Street, U.S.A. and Storybook Circus stations, with the Frontierland stop remaining offline. The Frontierland station is closed because of ongoing construction work related to the upcoming Piston Peak National Park and Disney Villains land expansions.
The Railroad has been operating in this abbreviated shuttle mode for some time now, so the refurbishment likely addresses maintenance needs on the trains or track rather than any change to the route itself.
