All guest entrances to the Walt Disney World Railroad at Magic Kingdom are now blocked as the attraction undergoes a multi-week refurbishment.

WDW News Today reported that the final accessible stairway, which had remained open on September 28 for access to a collectible medallion machine on the station’s second floor, was roped off by September 30. A sign at the station says the railroad is not currently operating.

Walt Disney World’s website lists the railroad’s reopening in November 2026, though operating hours are shown beginning October 30.

When service resumes, the railroad is expected to continue in shuttle mode between Main Street, U.S.A., and Storybook Circus. The Frontierland station remains closed during construction of Piston Peak National Park and Disney Villains Land.
