If you're the type of park guest who reaches for the hot sauce at Walt Disney World's quick-service restaurants, you may notice something different next time you grab a packet — Tabasco is on its way out, and Tapatío is taking its place across the resort.
The swap was first spotted at ABC Commissary in Disney's Hollywood Studios, where Tapatío packets had replaced the familiar Tabasco ones. The change appears to be rolling out resort-wide rather than being limited to a single location.
The two sauces aren't just different brands — they taste noticeably different. Tabasco's classic red sauce leans heavily on distilled vinegar for a sharp, tangy bite, while Tapatío is made with red peppers, garlic, and spices, producing a slightly thicker consistency with a more rounded heat profile.
The condiment shake-up ties into a broader shift happening across Disney properties. New Heinz dispensers — part of a Kraft Heinz and Disney partnership announced in July 2026 — have been appearing at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and aboard Disney Cruise Line. New Heinz dispensers were also spotted at ABC Commissary alongside the Tapatío packets.
