Planning a Walt Disney World vacation is about to get a significant upgrade. Disney has announced a new AI-powered vacation planning experience developed in partnership with Google Cloud, designed to make booking feel less overwhelming and more tailored to each guest's needs.
The new tool brings several practical improvements to the table, including more flexible and personalized search results, a pricing and availability calendar, and side-by-side comparison of options to help guests find the best available rate. It also features AI-generated summaries drawn from official Disney sources, so guests can ask questions and receive answers based on their specific schedule, budget, and trip plans. Disney described its approach as measured — applying AI where it genuinely helps rather than using it for its own sake.
A few things won't be part of this new experience right away: Lightning Lane and dining reservations are not included at this time and will continue to be managed through existing booking channels. Guests who prefer the current tools on DisneyWorld.com can keep using them without any disruption, and Disney's travel advisors and Call Center cast members remain available as well.
Initially, the beta will be available to a limited, randomly selected group of guests in the United States and Canada, with Disney planning to expand access in phases based on user feedback. The AI planning tool is part of a broader simplification effort that also includes a redesigned DisneyWorld.com homepage — which reduced navigation links by 40% — Spanish-language translations on both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort apps, and search summary features currently being tested with cast members before a broader guest rollout.
