Universal Orlando Resort has a new collectible for fans of its classic era: an E.T. Shoulder Buddy priced at $25, now available in the parks. The plush depicts E.T. in his signature red hoodie with his glowing finger extended — one of the character's most iconic looks — and uses a magnetic attachment so guests can wear it on their shoulder while exploring the resort.
The release feels timely. E.T. Adventure has remained one of Universal Studios Florida's most enduring attractions since the park's early days, and it continues to draw both first-timers and longtime fans. The new Shoulder Buddy gives visitors another tangible way to connect with that history.
The collectible is part of a broader pattern at Universal Orlando. Over the past year, the resort has leaned into its legacy through retro-themed events, vintage-inspired merchandise lines, and parade entertainment that mixes classic franchises with newer additions. One classic-era attraction, however, is heading for the exit. Universal has confirmed that Fast & Furious – Supercharged will close permanently on August 17, with August 16 serving as its final operating day. No replacement has been officially announced, though fans have floated longtime Universal properties like Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, and Twister as possibilities — all of which remain unconfirmed speculation at this point.
