Universal Orlando Resort's Epic Universe may be the newest park in the resort's lineup, but existing Annual and Seasonal Passholders don't automatically gain entry with their current pass. Instead, Universal offers eligible passholders a separate discounted one-day add-on ticket specifically for the new park — and depending on timing, the savings can be meaningful.
The standard passholder discount starts at 15% off the general public price for a selected date, which can translate to roughly $20 or more per ticket at current pricing. Because Epic Universe uses date-based pricing, the actual dollar amount saved will vary. On select promotional dates, Universal has offered total discounts as high as 40%, though those deeper deals have been limited to specific windows rather than available year-round. Passholders with schedule flexibility may find it worthwhile to compare prices across different dates before committing.
A few important rules apply. The discounted tickets are non-transferable and tied to the eligible passholder — you can't purchase one and hand it to someone without a qualifying pass. Each transaction is also capped at six discounted tickets; groups larger than that would need a second transaction. And for brand-new passholders, the Annual Pass must first be activated at an eligible Universal theme park entrance before the discounted Epic Universe ticket becomes available to purchase online.
Once inside Epic Universe, visitors can explore five themed worlds: Celestial Park, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. The park features major rides, character experiences, and themed dining throughout. Passholders using the discounted add-on ticket should have both their valid Annual Pass and a photo ID ready at the Epic Universe entrance.

Undercover Tourist is an authorized seller of Universal Epic Universe tickets, often at a discount off gate price.
It's worth noting that Epic Universe remains separate from existing Universal Orlando Annual and Seasonal Passes — those passes continue to cover Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, subject to individual pass terms and blockout dates. Universal has not announced an Annual Pass product that includes unlimited Epic Universe access, though the possibility remains something to watch as 2027 approaches.
