If a day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is on your fall agenda, this weekend is your last chance for a while. The Walt Disney World water park is wrapping up its season and will temporarily close on Wednesday, September 9, with no official reopening date announced yet.

The park is open through Tuesday, September 8, with hours varying by day. Friday and Monday–Tuesday run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday stretches to 7 p.m. (with an H2O Glow After Hours event running 8–11 p.m.), and Sunday closes at 8 p.m. Monday, September 7 also runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Walt Disney World resort hotel guests have an added incentive to squeeze in a visit: free water park admission on check-in day is available through September 8. After that, the perk won't apply until the park reopens.

Seasonal closures like this are typical at both of Disney's water parks, giving the properties time for maintenance and refurbishment during slower travel periods. Typhoon Lagoon returned from its last such break on May 12 of this year. Disney's other water park, Blizzard Beach, will remain open during Typhoon Lagoon's closure.
