Jacksonville's popular Third Thursday Sip & Stroll is back on the Southbank Riverwalk, with the 2026 season kicking off on September 17. Organized by Downtown Vision Inc. and presented by PNC Bank, the free monthly event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month through the season.
With construction ongoing around Friendship Fountain, the event will temporarily shift eastward along the riverwalk, stretching from 1701 Prudential Drive to RiversEdge at 2010 Prudential Drive. The relocated footprint still promises the event's signature mix of live music, food trucks and carts, riverside bars, and casual picnic areas with views of the sunset skyline. Alcoholic beverages in branded cups are available for purchase at on-site bars.
The September 17 opener will feature Rio Latino Jax — returning for the third consecutive year — bringing Latin music, rhythm, and flavor to the riverfront. After the main event wraps up, attendees are invited to stick around for a free silent disco hosted by HushHush Headphones on the DoubleTree pool deck.
Downtown Vision Inc. CEO Jake Gordon noted the organization is embracing the temporary change in location while the area around Friendship Fountain undergoes what he described as exciting construction. PNC's North and Central Florida regional president Chris Kalin echoed the enthusiasm, calling the event a reflection of downtown Jacksonville's growing energy and a chance for residents and visitors alike to connect along the riverfront.
